Prevent websites from tracking your location, by disabling Geolocation in your browser

Geolocation is a relatively new feature in the recent versions of most browsers. It allows websites to track your physical location, ostensibly, with a view to offer you location related search results, services or options.
You may have noticed that whenever you visit any website which requires access to your location the first time, you will see your browser saying that this website requires access to you location. We have the option to allow or disallow access, but we normally allow this. When you allow access, your IP address, along with your device details, MAC address, etc can be sent. These details are saved in Cookies. Other websites will not be able to access this data – only the website you have given access.
The privacy conscious among you may not want to disclose their physical location. Such users can tell their browsers to deny access by disabling the Geolocation feature. Let us see how to do it in Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera and Firefox web browsers.

Disable Geolocation in Internet Explorer

Open Internet Explorer > Internet Options > Privacy tab. Under Location check Never allow websites to request your physical location. Also press the Clear Sites button to remove old sites which have access to your physical location.
Click Apply/OK and Exit IE.
The registry key affected by the change of this setting is:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Geolocation
The value of BlockAllWebsites as 1, will mean Do not allow, whereas 0 would mean Allow websites to request your location.
This will block all websites from using Microsoft Location Services to find your computer’s approximate physical location.

Disable Geolocation in Chrome browser

Open your Chrome and click on the Spanner icon > Settings > Scroll down > Click on Show advanced settings. Under Privacy, click on Content Settings button. Again scroll down, till you see Location.
Here check the Do not allow any site to track my physical location radio button.
Click OK and Exit.

Disable Geolocation in Opera browser

Open your Opera > Settings > Preferences. Click on Advanced tab and then on Network. Uncheck the Enable geolocation option.
Click OK and exit.

Disable Geolocation in Firefox browser

Open Firefox. Click on Settings and press the Privacy tab. Here under Tracking, check the Tell websites I do not want to be tracked check-box.
Click on OK and Exit.
Once you have done this, you should clear your Internet cache, Browser History & Cookies before you start using your browser.

Which iPhone is best for you? iPhone SE, iPhone 6S, iPhone 7, iPhone 6S Plus or iPhone 7 Plus?

There is plenty of choice when it comes to smartphones, almost too much in fact. Chances are if you are reading this feature however, you have at least narrowed your options down to the iPhone.
So as you have discarded Android, Windows Phone and BlackBerry, as well as the other lesser-known options in favour of Apple, we are here to help you decide which iPhone is best for you.

Apple offers the iPhone SE, the iPhone 6S, the iPhone 7, the iPhone 6S Plus and the iPhone 7 Plus, so which one is the one for you? Let us explain the differences to help you figure out which you should spend your cash on.
The Apple iPhone SE is the cheapest way to get your hands on an iPhone, despite being one of the newest in the line-up. It succeeds the iPhone 5S and like its predecessor, it will be the perfect device for some because its smaller size has the potential to make it a more practical option.
The iPhone SE has a 4-inch Retina display with a 1136 x 640 pixel resolution making it quite a bit smaller than its siblings. It measures 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6mm and it weighs just 113g so it's the smallest and lightest iPhone available.
Storage wise, there are 16GB and 64GB models available. This is something to consider if you take a lot of snaps or download a lot of apps. Colour options are silver, space grey, gold and rose gold, while the battery life is claimed to offer up to 14 hours talk time.
You'll find an 12-megapixel rear camera with all same features as last year's iPhone 6S including 4K video recording, a True Tone flash and Live Photos. The front-facing camera has a lower resolution than the iPhone 6S at 1.2-megapixels but it does offer the Retina flash like the iPhone 6S. Touch ID and NFC are also both on board the iPhone SE meaning Apple Pay support, something which the replaced iPhone 5S didn't offer.
The iPhone SE might be small but it is powerful with the A9 chip under the hood along with the M9 co-processor which is the element that allows your phone to act as a step tracker, among other things. In a nutshell, the iPhone SE is a smaller and more compact version of the iPhone 6S with a slightly different design and a few missing features.
WHY BUY?
The iPhone SE is the perfect iPhone for those that want a smaller, cheaper iPhone and for those that aren't interested in the larger models.
You get many of latest features and some powerful specs, but in a smaller and more compact format. It's the iPhone to buy if you want to stay small but still want a great camera and good hardware.
The Apple iPhone 6S is the successor to the iPhone 6 with an almost identical design but it brings in more powerful specs and a few additional features. You'll still find a 4.7-inch display with a 1334 x 750 pixel resolution so you'll get much of the same experience as 2014's iPhone 6 offered, but the iPhone 6S introduces a technology called 3D Touch.
In terms of build, the iPhone 6S is ever so slightly larger and heavier than theiPhone 6 measuring 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm and hitting the scales at 143g, but you get a faster processor than the predecessor in the A9 and embedded M9 motion co processor. Storage options have changed since the launch of the latest flagship, with 32GB and 128GB models available.
It comes in four colours like the iPhone SE, including rose gold, gold, space grey and silver. Battery remains the same as the iPhone 6 but the iPhone 6S sees the addition of a couple of other features including Touch ID.
It's the camera capabilities that see one of the biggest differences between theiPhone 6 and the iPhone 6S though. This iPhone sports the 12-megapixel rear snapper like the iPhone SE, but it ups the front-facing snapper to 5-megapixels. There is also a feature called Live Photos on board and support for 4K video recording too, like the smaller iPhone SE.
If you want the a larger, powerful iPhone but you aren't looking for a phablet or the latest model, the 6S is a great option. It has some powerful specs, even if not the latest, in a slim, premium design.
WHY BUY?
The iPhone 6S is last year's flagship iPhone so it is a little cheaper than the latest model, while still offering some great features and power.
It's the model for those that aren't after the latest and greatest specs or most recent features but those that want a great iPhone with a display that sits in the middle of the smallest and largest.
The Apple iPhone 7 is the company's newest device, making it the latest iPhone flagship, alongside its bigger brother the iPhone 7 Plus. The standard model features a 4.7-inch Retina display with 3D Touch and improved brightness, and the device as a whole offers a similar design to the iPhone 6S but it makes a few refinements here and there.
For starters, the antenna strips across the rear have moved to just the top and bottom of the device, resulting in a cleaner look, while Apple has also said goodbye to the headphone jack, replacing it with stereo speakers. The iPhone 7 is a little lighter than the iPhone 6S at 138g, but measurements remain the same at 138.3 x 67.1 x 7.1mm.
The iPhone 7 comes in five colours comprising jet black, black, rose gold, gold and silver, meaning it ditches the space grey. It comes in storage options of 32GB, 128GB and 256GB and it adds IP67 waterproofing to the mix. In terms of power, the iPhone 7 sees a new chip, called the A10 Fusion with embedded M10 motion co processor, and its battery is claimed to class two hours longer than the iPhone 6S.
The latest iPhone also introduces a new camera to the party. The rear sees a 12-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.8, while the front benefits from a 7-megapixel snapper with an aperture of f/2.2. On the rear, Apple has added optical image stabilisation, along with a Quad-LED True Tone flash, while the front sees auto image stabilisation.
If you want everything the iPhone 6S offers and more, the iPhone 7 is where it is at.
WHY BUY?
The iPhone 7 is Apple's latest and greatest iPhone, sporting a new camera, better battery, refined design and waterproofing.
It doesn't feature everything Apple has to offer, as that's in the iPhone 7 Plus, but it's as close as you'll get without going big.
The iPhone 6S Plus is one of the big friendly giants of the iPhone world. If you have even considered the iPhone SE, chances are you won't even be looking at the iPhone 6S Plus, but for those after an Apple phablet - this is one of two options.
The iPhone 6S Plus is very similar to the iPhone 6S in terms of specs and it is almost identical to its predecessor - the iPhone 6 Plus - in terms of design, like the iPhone 6S is to the iPhone 6. It's a little larger at 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3mm and a little heavier at 192g but like the iPhone 6S, it packs in new tech here and there.
The display remains at 5.5-inches with a Full HD resolution for a pixel density of 401ppi, but like the iPhone 6S, the iPhone 6S Plus offers 3D Touch, as well as a new camera, even if it isn't new anymore.
There is a 12-megapixel snapper on the rear and a 5-megapixel snapper on the front along with all the same features of the iPhone 6S including Live Photos and 4K video recording. You will also find optical image stabilisation on the iPhone 6S Plus, which isn't available on the iPhone 6S.
The battery sits at up to 24 hours for 3G talk time, and storage options are now 32GB and 128GB, following the launch of the new models. The iPhone 6S Plus comes in space grey, silver, gold and rose gold colour options.
WHY BUY?
The iPhone 6S Plus is the perfect iPhone for those who want the great design aesthetics of the iPhone 6S but on a larger scale. It's for those that want iOS on aphablet but aren't too fussed about the latest and greatest specs.
It's one of the two bigger iPhones but it doesn't have every feature Apple offers so if you're down with the size, but you're looking to spend a little less than the price of the iPhone 7 Plus, the iPhone 6S Plus could be the one for you.
The iPhone 7 Plus is the second of the options for those that want an Applephablet, and the second of the two newest Apple devices available. It measures the same as the iPhone 6S Plus, but it is lighter at 188g and it comes with a few refinements, like the iPhone 7, along with a few new features.
Like the smaller model, the iPhone 7 Plus sees a cleaner rear thanks to the move of the antenna bands. It also loses the headphone jack, introduces stereo speakers and adds IP67 water and dust resistance to its slim, metal body. The iPhone 7 Plus is available in the same colour and storage options as the iPhone 7 meaning jet black, black, rose gold, gold and silver, with 32GB, 128GB and 256GB models. It's worth noting the jet black model only comes in the latter two storage options.
The iPhone 7 Plus has the A10 Fusion processor with embedded M10 motion coprocessor under its hood, but it is claimed to have a battery life of up to two more hours than the iPhone 6S Plus. Like its predecessor, it has a 5.5-inch Retina display with a Full HD resolution, but Apple has made the new device's display brighter, matching the smaller iPhone 7.
Apple's latest and greatest phablet's most differentiating feature is its rear camera though. Unlike the iPhone 7 that shares many of the same specs, the iPhone 7 Plus has a dual-camera setup on the back. Two 12-megapixel sensors are on board, one a wide-angle lens, the other a telephoto lens, allowing the iPhone 7 Plus to offer better zoom functionality and the potential for bokeh images in the future.
The iPhone 7 Plus is the biggest, most feature-rich iPhone there is available. It's also the most expensive.
WHY BUY?
The iPhone 7 Plus has the latest and greatest specs, coupled with its own features that aren't available on other iPhones in terms of the camera.
It is the iPhone for those that want everything Apple has to offer, in a larger handset.

Google doodle celebrates birthday of Malayan heroine Sybil Kathigasu

Google honours Malayan heroine Sybil Kathigasu with a doodle. She is most well known for surviving torture under the hands of the Japanese during the Japanese Occupation of Malaya. — Screen capture from GoogleKUALA LUMPUR, Sept 3 — The illustration is a whimsical one; a young woman standing in the doorway of an old pre-war shophouse. A serene picture, you’d hardly associate it with pain and torture.
Yet the subject of today’s Google doodle, Sybil Kathigasu, is most well-known for surviving torture under the hands of the Japanese during the Japanese Occupation of Malaya.
She was a Eurasian nurse who, together with her doctor husband, supplied medicine, medical services and information to the resistance forces in the area around the Perak district of Papan where they lived until they were arrested by the Japanese in 1943.
Kathigasu was interrogated and tortured but she did not give up information about the men she had helped. Not even after the Japanese soldiers tied her seven-year-old daughter Dawn and hung her from a tree while ants bit her!
She was finally thrown into a Batu Gajah jail where she stayed until Malaya was liberated from the Japanese at the end of World War II in 1945.
Kathigasu was then sent to Britain for medical treatment and it was there she wrote her memoir No Dram of Mercy. She received the George Medal for bravery — the only Malayan woman to be awarded — but succumbed to her injuries several months after in 1948.
She was only 48 when she died. There is a road named after her in Ipoh and the clinic in Papan has been turned into a sort of memorial for her.
No. 74 Main Road, Papan is that shophouse in the Google doodle that celebrates what would have been Kathigasu’s 117th birthday today.

Pokemon Go Battling Update Coming Sooner Than We Think??

Recently a Redditor named cokuspocus has dipped his hands into the source code further to find out a rather important secret that we’ve been dying to know about.
You bet, your ass it’s battling. (Duh the title) However cokuspocus finding this source code can confirm that they’ve recently added this to the game and are most likely preparing for a Live update within the next two months.
YOU SEE IN THE CODE MENTION OF A FORT, I THOUGHT INITIALLY THAT THIS WAS SIMPLY REFERRING TO GYMS, BUT THEN YOU ALSO SEE GYMS MENTIONED, EXAMPLES:
  • Add_fort_modifier <- a="" add="" and="" anything="" be="" but="" can="" down="" em="" except="" for="" fort="" gyms="" has="" idk="" in="" interesting="" is="" it="" legendary="" lookout="" me.="" mon="" on="" perhaps="" pok="" t="" take="" team="" the="" this.="" this="" to="" very="" you="" your="">
  • Fort_deploy_pokemon <- em="" forts="" gyms.="" just="" let="" like="" mon="" place="" pok="" suggests="" that="" this="" will="" with="" you="">
  • Fort_recall_pokemon <- back="" bring="" but="" can.="" can="" em="" forts="" gyms="" in="" interesting="" is="" manually="" me.="" mon="" pok="" seems="" suggest="" t="" that="" this="" to="" with="" you="">
  • Start_gym_battle <- a="" as="" battling="" em="" fort..="" gym.="" gym="" interesting.="" is="" mentioned="" not="" specifically="" this="">“
  • How do you think this update will effect Pokemon Go? Do you think that it may bring back some lost hype from the bugs and lost features we’ve been promised. I believe we may be able to see this update right before the holidays.

Pokemon GO system has been data mined from the latest app version. We will be taking our favorite Pokemon for a walk soon. This concept is know as Buddy Pokemon The Buddy system was first seen on AeonLucid’s PogoProtos, the biggest Github repository for analysing Pokemon GO network traffic. The Buddy system was introduced in the code base in 0.35.0 update.
his is a short version of what Buddy Pokemon update holds:-
  • Pokemon Buddy System is using the same server side distance calculation as the one used for Pokemon Eggs
  • Walking your Pokemon Buddy will award you with candy. The amount of candy is yet to be determined.
  • You can walk the same Pokemon Buddy multiple times, but there is likely a daily limit for obtained candy
  • You can walk with only one Buddy Pokemon at a time
  • There are various looks of Buddy Pokemon
    • Medium size
    • Big size

The Zika virus info graphic

Zika virus was first identified in Uganda in 1947 in rhesus monkeys by researchers monitoring yellow fever. The virus got its name from the Zika Forest in Uganda where it was first discovered. It is classified as a flavivirus, which puts it in the same family as yellow fever, West Nile, Japanese encephalitis viruses and dengue. According to the Brazilian Ministry of Health, Brazil saw 20 times more microcephaly cases in 2015 than usual, following the outbreak of Zika in the country that year.

A Facebook crime every 40 minutes: From killings to grooming as 12,300 cases are linked to the site

A crime linked to Facebook  is reported to police every  40 minutes.
Last year, officers logged 12,300 alleged offences involving the vastly popular social networking site.
Facebook was referenced in investigations of murder, rape, child sex offences, assault, kidnap, death threats, witness intimidation and fraud.
Blocked: Currently, users must vouch that they are 13 or older to sign up for the website... but some 7.5 million young children lie about their age and log on anyway
The vast majority of cases involved alleged harassment or intimidation by cyber-bullies, according to figures obtained under a Freedom of Information request.
Around half of police forces in England and Wales supplied details for when Facebook was recorded in crime reports.

Crossposted Videos and Total Performance Insights

Our publishing partners often like to create multiple Pages to engage different audiences on Facebook. Many of these partners reuse the same videos across different posts and Pages, and they’ve told us they’d like to see total performance insights for a single video across all the places it was used.

For example, a media company might want to post a video on their main Page, their international Page, and one of their topical Pages. Then they might also want to repost that same video a few weeks later.
Today we’re launching a new way for publishers to easily crosspost videos within and across Pages owned by the same Business Manager (our tool that helps publishers manage multiple Pages). We’re also rolling out accompanying total performance insights for videos: a single, aggregate view count for crossposted videos, as well as an easy way to see the total performance of a crossposted video across the different places it appears on Facebook.

Allow your other Pages to use your video

First, Page owners can now give other Pages in their Business Manager permission to reuse a video. This option appears on the new “Permissions” tab in the video upload or edit window. Clicking that tab and flipping on the “Allow” switch gives other Pages in the Business Manager permission to reuse that video.
Create a new post with an existing Video
Once permission to reuse a video has been granted, any Page in that same Business Manager can create new posts with the video without having to re-upload it.
 See total performance insights
If a video has been crossposted, Page owners of the Page that initially uploaded the video will be able to see metrics for each post in which the video has been reused, as well as aggregate metrics for the video across all those posts.
Page admins who reuse another Page’s video will only see metrics for the posts they created, as well as a “Total Performance” line that helps them compare metrics on their posts to the video’s totals.

Pokemon Go New Tracking Feature Release Date:

Pokemon Go Sightings feature has been the worst thing that we’ve seen in the past updates since the removed the 3 step feature. Though they’ve been fixing it and came up with a new system that’s been in beta for over a month now should be released here pretty soon.

Let me explain why I believe they will be released within two weeks or a month, Niantic has been releasing common updates once every two weeks and today we’re due for a new update. Last update they included a feature for trainer customization and adding the sightings feature.
Niantic CEO John Hanke has given his word on releasing updates every two weeks as a priority in an interview with IGN
  • either two weeks (5/09/2016) or
  • a month (19/09/2016
NOW Let me advise you these dates are being suggested to you because of this rumor and how long they’ve been working on the feature, and also how valuable the feature is to the games concept which would put this update in front line ahead of everything else.

If we are correct, then you should be enjoying your game a hell of a’lot more, So be sure to like our Pokemon Go fan page to find out exactly when it drops cause i’ll be all over it like dog’s on top of a fresh hotdog hitting the ground on a hot summer day!

How to get 100k XP per lucky egg

The trick here is to do the following:
  1. “Favorite” all of the Pokemon you plan on evolving (Stock up on tons to do at once)
  2. Sort your Pokemon by “Favorite”
  3. Be somewhere with good WIFI reception
  4. Throw down your lucky egg
  5. Evolve 1st Pokemon, and then immediately “Force-Quit” your app.
  6. Immediately re-open your app.
  7. Continue on and on
Doing all of this DRAMATICALLY reduces the time wasted on the evolve animation. Once you quit your app. and re-open it, the Pokemon has been fully evolved in a major fraction of the time.
Right now, I’m typically in the range of being able to evolve 4-5 Pokemon/minute. I underestimated the # of Pokemon I should have available to evolve, I think it wouldn’t be impossible to achieve up to 145-150k on an egg if fully prepared and stocked up w/no reception issues.

Now let me remind you that this will only work if you save your Pokemon to evolve all at once. This trick should help out tons of new players get a quick jump in levels, so they may be able to catch higher Pokemon with higher CP quicker to better enjoy the game!

Hari Merdeka Malaysian

Hari Merdeka (Malaysian for 'Independence Day') refers to the day when the Federation of Malaya's independence from the British Empire was officially declared. At exactly 09:30 on 31 August 1957, the declaration was read by the first Chief Minister of Malaya, Tunku Abdul Rahman at the Merdeka Stadium in the presence of thousands of people including Malay Rulers, members of the federal government, and foreign dignitaries.
To commemorate the event, Hari Merdeka was declared a national holiday in Malaysia and observed annually on 31 August. The day should not be confused with Hari Malaysia ('Malaysia Day') that commemorates the formation of Malaysia on 16 September 1963, when North Borneo, Sarawak, and Singapore federated with the existing states of the Federation of Malaya.[1]
Happy Malaysia Day 59 to all Malaysian

How to Stop WhatsApp From Giving Facebook Your Phone Number

WhatsApp’s privacy settings are changing, and not for the better. As of today, the phone numbers of WhatsApp users will be shared with parent company Facebook. This will allow Facebook to run analytics on user activity and send you friend requests for people you talk to in WhatsApp. And of course, it will allow Facebook to serve targeted ads to WhatsApp users.
Thankfully, there is a way to opt out of this. But WhatsApp’s opt-out period is only 30 days long, so if you don’t want your phone number shared with Facebook, opt out now before the window closes.
WhatsApp keeps the policy change somewhat hidden, but there are two options. Both are outlined in the FAQ, and both of them will work inside the Android and iOS apps.

Option 1: Read the Terms and Conditions

When you update to the newest version of WhatsApp, you’ll see a new set of terms and conditions. Once the app is done updating, the first screen in the process will come up. Don’t tap “Agree” just yet! Scroll all the way down and uncheck the box that will share your WhatsApp info with Facebook.

Option 2: In Your Settings

If you’ve already updated to the latest version and just breezed through the setup, go into your WhatsApp settings. Tap “Account.” Here, you’ll find a new option for “Share my account info” and a brief description of what checking the box means. Just uncheck that box and you are done.
Take that advertisers and Facebook! New app, who dis?
