Monster Hunter: World Shipment Exceeds 10 Million Units

Capcom has recently announced that its hugely successful game, Monster Hunter: World, has exceeded 20 million units shipped (both physical and digital copies). The game developer mentioned one major factor that contributed to the achievement of this milestone is due to the release of Monster Hunter: World on PC.

Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World was first released on both the Xbox One and PS4 on 26 January 2018. Eight months later, the game was then released for the PC on 10 August 2018. Gematsu stated that in July 2018, the Capcom managed to ship around 8.3 million copies of Monster Hunter: World, prior to the release on PC.

It seems rather surprising that just in less than two months, Capcom has managed to ship an additional 1.7 million copies (and more) of the game on PC and consoles. This goes to show that the game does indeed have a massive following, and that gamers (both on PC and console) are enjoying this monster slaying game a lot.
Speaking of which, Gematsu also mentioned that the cumulative sales of Capcom’s Monster Hunter game series have surpassed 50 million units worldwide.
