For just a few short minutes, Instagram seemed to have stop working. It’s something that has been reported all over the globe, which includes Malaysia as well. The service has since been brought back online.
Booting the app at the time simply showed a blank page with and the line “Couldn’t refresh feed.” Visiting the site via a desktop browser, on the other hand, shows a blank page that simply says “5xx Server Error.”
There is no known cause for this yet, but it’s likely a technical fault. That said, it did happen at a pretty difficult time.
Instagram’s two founders announced not too long ago that they were leaving the company which is owned by Facebook.
While the service is now back online, there has yet to be any statement being issued by Instagram or its parent company, Facebook. We’ll keep you updated once we hear more.
