ASUS To Launch ROG Strix LC Radeon RX 6900XT Water-Cooled Graphics Card

ASUS recently announced that it will be launching a water-cooled variant of AMD’s Radeon RX 6900XT. Dubbed the RX 6900XT ROG Strix LC, it is the brand’s second RDNA 2 GPU to be water-colled, after the RX 6800XT ROG Strix LC.

According to Videocardz, the water-cooled 6900XT will require three 8-pin PCIe power connectors, and will have a 240mm radiator with two 120mm fans, externally connected to the card. It’s specifications and performance are still unknown, but it is confirmed that the card will have the same output configuration, which includes two DisplayPort 1.4 ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and USB-C port.

Liquid-cooling graphics cards is something both ASUS and AMD have been doing for a long time. For ASUS, one of the brand’s earliest foray with the concept can be traced back to the dual-GPU ROG ARES II Radeon HD 7990 graphics card. For AMD, the card’s design and concept harkens back to the its Radeon R9 295X2 graphics, a card that ran dual Hawaii XT GPUs and was cooled by a 120mm, single fan radiator externally attached to them.

Getting back on point, the ROG Strix LC RX 6900XT sports the most up-to-date aesthetics and trimmings and also comes with 600mm tubing, making it compatible with EATX chassis. And yes, it does come with ASUS’ Aura Sync RGB LED.

At the time of writing, there is still no word on local availability and pricing.
