IPC Shopping Centre Adapts To CNY Under MCO With Augmented Reality

In a sign of how shopping malls are adapting to the ongoing pandemic and MCO, IPC Shopping Centre has turned to augmented reality for its 2021 Chinese New Year campaign. Lasting from now until 21 February, IPC’s ‘Niu Niu New Year’ campaign will also feature exclusive deals on IPC’s Instagram and Facebook pages, alongside exclusive discounts for purchases made through delivery partners such as GoGet and Beep.

This CNY, IPC will be rewarding shoppers who use the augmented reality ox filter available through its social media pages with a free RM10 ‘Niu Niu CNY’ e-voucher. Those interested just need to apply the ox filter and share a video of them working out on their personal Instagram or Facebook page with the hashtag #NiuYearNewMe.

Noting that they have scaled down on the usual CNY on-ground festivities, IPC Shopping Centre Marketing Manager Mark Tan said, “In developing the augmented reality ox filter and pairing it with workout videos, our goal is to provide our community with the interactive experience that they are used to while visiting IPC Shopping Centre.”

IPC has also appointed GoGet as its official personal shopping partner to give people an alternative to physical shopping. Shoppers can appoint a personal shopper from GoGet to buy items for them, then pick them up from a designated pick-up point at the LG1 entrance of the mall or have them delivered to their doorstep.

First-time users will get RM10 off all personal shopping services by using the promo code ‘ShopGoGet10’. For more information about IPC Shopping Centre’s ‘Niu Niu New Year’ campaign, visit the mall’s official website right here.
