Shocking News To Malaysians : Our National Hero Dato Lee Chong Wei Has Been Detected With 1rd Stage Threatening Nose Cancer – Let’s Pray For Lee Chong Wei

Lee Chong Wei, it is learnt, is facing a serious health problem which will most likely bring his illustrious career to a premature end as he undergoes treatment.
According to a source today, who spoke on condition of anonymity, the 36-year-old player is now in Taiwan for medical treatment.
Malaysian shuttler Lee Chong Wei is undergoing treatment in Taiwan to treat a career-threatening disease.
The 35-year-old will be in Taiwan for two months.
Lee suspected something was wrong after winning the Malaysian Open title in convincing fashion in Jakarta early this month.
The Malaysian superstar withdrew from the World Championships in Nanjing, China, which starts on Monday, and also the Asian Games in Indonesia from Aug 17 to Sept 2.
It is learnt that the Malaysian is determined to battle the disease and return to court.
Malaysians are praying for his recovery.
In a statement released by the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) last week, the public and the media were asked to respect the privacy of Lee and his family.
“We pray for his speedy recovery and look forward to welcoming him back,” said the statement.
In the same statement, the BAM said that Chong Wei was unwell and was suffering from a respiratory-related disorder, and added that his doctor has advised him to rest and undergo treatment.
Meanwhile, BAM president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria said they had given Chong Wei the space to make all arrangements for his treatment.
“As I said before, we respect Chong Wei’s privacy and has given him time to decide on whatever he is needed to recover quickly,” said Norza.
“He needs the best treatment for his respiratory related disorder and we will wait for the next few weeks before giving more updates on Chong Wei. For now, we just want him to focus on his recovery and get well,” he added.
“This is very sad news when our badminton hero, who has contributed so much to the country, is suddenly facing health problems,” said the source.
“Everybody knows that he is a model athlete who always takes good care of his health and fitness.
“What we can do now is pray that Chong Wei makes a full, speedy recovery.”
Lee Chong Wei has been confirmed with early stage nose cancer, says the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM).
“But please give Chong Wei the space and peace of mind to recover,” pleaded BAM president Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria in a statement after a post went viral on social media saying Chong Wei was suffering from third-stage nose cancer.
“In response to recent reports concerning Datuk Lee Chong Wei, BAM confirms that the player has been diagnosed with early stage nose cancer,” said Norza on Saturday (Sept 22).
“Chong Wei is currently in Taiwan seeking treatment, and I am pleased to inform you that he is responding well to his treatment and is currently resting and recuperating amongst family and close friends.
“Your support has been his source of strength and courage.
“We urge everyone to respect his privacy and that of his family. BAM is in constant contact with Chong Wei, and we will offer any support we can to our legend,” he said.
