Maxis Schedules System Upgrade On 23 To 25 November; Only Affects Selected Customers

Maxis has scheduled an upgrade on its system starting from 2:00 PM on 23 November. According to the telco’s official website, it will affect a select number of Maxis Mobile, Maxis Fibre, and Hotlink Postpaid customers.

Customers that are affected by this system upgrade would receive notification from the telco via this SMS message:

As noted in the message, the system upgrade will mainly affect customers’ ability to obtain or utilise certain auxiliary services from the telco until 1 PM of 25 November. For example, the USSD-based EasyMenu which can be accessed by dialing *100# will not be available for these customers during the system upgrade period.

Additionally, they will also not be able to utilise certain functions within the Maxis app. Affected customers will also be unable to make changes for their Maxis account not only online but also at physical Maxis Stores and dealers although they can still make payments.

The telco also stated that the system upgrade will not affect customers’ ability to make calls and send SMS as well as utilising their mobile data. Nevertheless, we do advise Maxis customers out there to make a note about this system upgrade, just in case.
