Specifications Of The Samsung Galaxy S21 Flagship Series Leaked

If prior reports are accurate, we are but a few months away from the official reveal of the new Samsung flagship series, the Galaxy S21. As usual with most upcoming launches, leaks detailing the design or specifications of various products are expected to surface online not long before.

About a month after the S21 series’ design were leaked, alleged specifications of all of its models have now been laid out for all to see. This information is brought forward by none other than XDA’s Max Weinbach, who previously leaked the phone’s predecessor – the Galaxy S20 series.

According to Weinbach, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will consist of three familiar models: a standard, Plus and an Ultra model. He also claims that the previously leaked designs by OnLeaks are accurate to an extent, where it is shown that the phone will have a new rear camera layout. Additionally, the XDA writer also says that the Galaxy S21 Ultra model does feature support for Samsung’s S-Pen accessory, as originally pointed out by fellow leaksters Max Jambor and Ice Universe last week.

Chipset-wise, and to nobody’s surprise, it is said that the company may be kitting the new flagship series with two different processors depending on region. These are either the Snapdragon 875 or Samsung’s own Exynos 2100 SoCs, which Weinbach noted that the latter to feature a performance that is “on-par or better” than the Qualcomm chip. This remains to be seen when both chipsets make their eventual debuts, of course.

Moving on, both the standard Galaxy S21 and its Plus variant may feature FHD+ 120hz displays, with the former sporting a 6.2-inch screen and the latter a 6.7-inch. The best display is claimed by the leakster to be reserved for the Ultra variant, where it features a 6.8-inch WQHD+ screen with advanced adaptive refresh LTPO panels.

Unfortunately, Weinbach did not list out the expected RAM and storage capacity for all of the Galaxy S21 models. In regards to battery specifications, on the other hand, it is said that that standard variant may feature a 4,000mAh battery, the Plus at 4,800mAh, and the Ultra at 5,000mAh. All three also include 25W fast charging support at minimum.

As for optics, the standard and Plus versions of the Galaxy S21 reportedly feature the same camera arrays as its predecessors. Specifically, both models are equipped with a 12MP main sensor, 64MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide. While that may sound unimpressive, it’s quite likely that Samsung may have several new camera features to go along with them.

Meanwhile, the Ultra model is said to receive a major upgrade when compared to the Galaxy S20 version. Weinbach says that the new high-end flagship may feature an improved 108MP main sensor, 12MP ultrawide, and two telephoto sensors: one with 3x optical zoom and the other is capable of up to 10x optical. Sources also added that Samsung will be reviving the 100X Space Zoom capability via the latter telephoto lens with better pixel resolution. To further enhance its photography and video capabilities, the Ultra model will feature laser autofocus.

As usual for every leak and hearsays, we strongly advise our readers to take all the above information with a grain of salt. That said, we will eventually find out more details regarding Samsung’s latest flagship soon enough when the company decides to officially announce them. Hopefully, in the very near future.
