Sony Temporarily Removes Cyberpunk 2077 From PS Store

Despite the good it has inside, Cyberpunk 2077 has been a mess of a game thanks to its bugs. This is even more so when playing the game on last gen consoles, particularly the base PS4. The refund process is just as confusing. But now, it looks like Sony Interactive Entertainment is taking a firm stance.

Specifically, the company is removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store, until further notice. It is also decided that it will offer a full refund to those that bought the game via the PS Store. The announcement came via a tweet by its @AskPlayStation Twitter account.

The tweet also has a link, which is supposed to have a refund form. Though it leads to the refund form for those in the US, so it wouldn’t really be applicable to Malaysians.

This about turn comes just a day after reports of SIE denying refunds for Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS4. Which was pretty strange in the first place, but at least now players who have an unpleasant playing experience can get their money back, and maybe pay for the game once it’s in a more playable state. We’ve also reached out to PlayStation Asia regarding the refund situation for Malaysia, but we’ve yet to get a response.
