Samsung Is Bringing Quick Share To Windows 10 Among Other Apps

Samsung will reportedly be bringing a number of apps to Windows 10. Chief among them is Quick Share, but it’s not the only one to be made available on the Microsoft PC operating system.

Quick Share will allow Samsung devices to share images, videos and documents to Windows 10 systems. This can be done via WiFi Direct, Bluetooth or even the former’s SmartThings platform. The prerequisite for this to work is that the phone involved is running One UI 2. According to Aggiornamenti Lumia, some Windows 10 systems are already getting the app.

As mentioned, Quick Share is not the only app that will be made available on Windows 10. Another one is called Samsung Free. Formerly known as Samsung Daily, it’s the equivalent of the company’s TV app, offering TV shows, news articles and games. The other app is called Samsung O, but as of now it’s unclear as to what it actually does.

While some Windows 10 systems are already getting the Quick Share, it remains to be seen if there will be a more general rollout soon. No word on when Samsung Free will be available either, but Aggiornamenti Lumia claims that Samsung O will be made available in the next few days.
