Huawei MateStation B515 Is The Company’s First Desktop System

After countless MateBook laptops and MatePad tablets, Huawei has finally made a desktop system, named MateStation B515. It’s quite the odd approach to making a desktop system too. As a set, it comes with the desktop system itself, as well as a monitor, a mouse and a keyboard.

The Huawei MateStation B515 tower measures in at 293mm tall, 93mm wide, 315.5mm thick, and weighs in at around 4.2kg. It comes with a choice of AMD Ryzen 5 4600G and 4700G CPUs. RAM options are either 8GB or 16GB clocked at 3200MHz. Storage options start from a 1TB 7200rpm HDD to a 512GB M.2 NVMe SSD. Looks fine so far, until we get to the integrated AMD Radeon Graphics.

As for connectivity, we’re looking at a built-in dual-antenna WiFi, and Bluetooth 5.0. On the front of the chassis, you’ll see a USB-C port, a USB 3.2 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. Round the back, it has audio in and out ports, a HDMI port, a VGA port, two RJ45 Ethernet ports, A USB 3.2 port and two USB 2.0 ports.

Moving on to the other things that come with the Huawei MateStation B515. The monitor is a 23.8-inch Full HD IPS screen with a 1000:1 screen contrast ratio. The mouse and keyboard are of the wireless variety. Though the latter is a little bit special, as it comes with a power button for the main system, as well as a fingerprint sensor embedded in it. If you have a Huawei phone, you can also tap it on the keyboard for file transfers.

The Huawei MateStation B515 is aimed at businesses, and as such has no RRP attached to it. No word on if it will be available for the average consumer just yet.
