Retailers Reveal Existence Of NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series Mobile GPUs By Accident

A couple of retailers may have let the cat out of the bag recently when they accidentally posted their listing of gaming laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX mobile GPUs. Specifically, mobile versions of NVIDIA’s Ampere-powered GeForce RTX 30 series graphics.

The first retailer to make the “whoopsie” post was the South African online retailer, Pinnacle. At the time of writing, the retailer has already removed the list, but in total, it listed four different ASUS laptops, all fitted with some variation of the GeForce RTX 30 series GPU. Interestingly, the listing also the laptops to be running two of AMD’s alleged Ryzen 5000 series CPUs. More specifically, a Ryzen 9 5900HX and 5900HS.

To break the list down further, the two ASUS laptops powered by the 5900HX are reportedly ASUS Zephyrus Duo 15 SE. On that note, the listing more or less lends credibility to an initial report of this particular gaming laptop and the 5900HX housed within it. In this case, ASUS may be launching two variations of the notebook; one fitted with an RTX 3080 and the other with an RTX 3070.

Going down the list, Pinnacle’s list also shows a Zephyris ROG 14 with a 5900HS and RTX 3060 Max-Q. Keep in mind, the GPU is not an RTX 3060 Ti and considering these specs, it’s likely that this model could be a follow-up to ASUS’ Zephyrus ROG G14 that we reviewed earlier this year. Finally, the fourth laptop on the list is a Zephyrus 15 with a Quadro RTX 3000 series GPU.

Moving on, the second retailer to let the cat out of the bag is from The Netherlands and its listing named a total of seven SKUs, all from the brand, Gigabyte. To be precise, the list comprises three Aero laptops and four AORUS gaming laptops, with the lowest-tier RTX 30 series GPU being the non-Max-Q RTX 3060. Interestingly enough, the highest-tier GPU being listed is the RTX 3080 Max-Q, followed by the RTX 3070 Max-Q.

As it stands, neither ASUS nor Gigabyte have released an official comment. That said and considering ongoing trends, it is highly possible that these laptops might just make their debut sometime during the first quarter of next year.
