MySejahtera App To Remind People To Get Their Second Dose Of COVID-19 Vaccine

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is set to arrive on our shores at the end of this month. And the MySejahtera app can be used to sign up to get the shot when it becomes available. It looks like it will also be used to remind you to get your second dose as well.

As reported last week, the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine will be on a voluntary basis. Those who choose to be vaccinated can sign up through the MySejahtera  app. This would require volunteers to be at least 18 years of age.

Of course, when you’ll get your reminder will depend on which vaccine you get. That being said, it’s still unclear for now what form the reminder will take in the MySejahtera app.

The first to get the COVID-19 vaccines are the frontliners. About 500,000 of them will get the vaccine as part of phase one of the national COVID-19 immunisation program. This is expected to last until April.

Following that is phase two, which sees the vaccines going to about 9.4 million people. These are volunteers who are considered to be in the high-risk groups, such as the elderly, the disabled, and those with other comorbidities.
