Leaker Claims Upcoming Macs Will All Come With 1080p Webcams

Last week, we saw reports of Apple debuting the M2 chip with a redesigned MacBook Air in 2022, courtesy of Twitter leaker @dylandkt. Said leaker has, over the weekend, made a new claim. In it, they note that upcoming Macs will come with an improved webcam.

More specifically, the leaker claims that the upcoming MacBook Pro, as well as “the entire Mac Lineup” will come with a 1080p webcam. Beyond that, details are a little on the vague side of things. Though the bit about the entire Mac lineup should mean that all variants of the MacBook will be getting the webcam upgrade treatment.

The tweet itself also mentions a video by YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips, which decries laptop webcams in general. With regards to that, merely pushing laptop webcams up from 720p to 1080p wouldn’t really solve that problem. But that’s beside the point.

As 9to5Mac points out, at the moment only the 27-inch iMac of 2020 and the new M1 iMac have a 1080p webcam. Which is a surprisingly small number of products that have it. If the leaker is right, it would mean that Apple’s laptops will get access to better webcams as well.

Leaker: Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima, And More Getting PC Ports

When Horizon Zero Dawn made its way to PC, it opened the floodgates of possibility. The notion that PS exclusives coming to PC suddenly became believable. Then came confirmation of Days Gone making the same migration. Now, a leaker claims that more of PlayStation’s finest will also be getting ported.

Twitter user @CrazyLeaksTrain claims that Bloodborne, an Uncharted collection, Ghost of Tsushima, and God of War will be making their way to PC. The Uncharted collection is presumably the Nathan Drake Collection, which compiles the remasters of the first three games into one, though the leaker themselves claim it will be all four main titles.

According to GamesRadar+, the leaker has a pretty good track record. They have predicted the Ninja Gaiden remasters and the port of Nioh 2 to PC, even if their predicted dates a re a few months off.

If this list is indeed true then it’s great news for PC gamers. Each of the four listed here have performed great on the PS4. So much so that you probably wouldn’t be wrong to call them system sellers. This is especially true for Bloodborne, the most unique of the Soulsborne games; God of War, once the fastest selling exclusive of the console, and Ghost of Tsushima, arguably the perfect swansong for the PS4.

But even if the list of PC ports is real, it remains to be seen when it will actually happen. But it will be great when it does, especially for Bloodborne that is now stuck in its 30fps limbo.

OPPO Find X3 Models To Launch On 11 March According To Leaker

Earlier in the month, serial leaker Evan Blass shared images of three devices in the new OPPO Find X3 line. Now, another leaker has shared what he believes to be the launch dates of the phones.

Jon Prosser claims on Twitter that the upcoming OPPO Find X3 devices will be announced on 11 March. They will then be available for pre-order on 31 March, and will finally be available on 14 April. The announcement date lines up with the previous rumours of a March announcement.

On another note, following his initial leak, Evan Blass has since pointed out that the X3 Neo is indeed a rebranded Reno5 Pro Plus. And with the X3 Lite being a rebranding of the base Reno5 5G, this leaves the Pro model as the only actually new model. As a reminder, the earlier leak of the OPPO Find X3 Pro points to it having a 6.7-inch 1440p 120Hz display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, and a 4500mAh battery that supports 65W fast charging.

While we now have a date to look forward to, it remains to be seen if they are indeed accurate. Time will tell if that’s the case. And from there we find out if the specs of the OPPO Find X3 Pro are accurate. As are the status of the other two as rebranded versions of existing devices.
