Alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Specifications Surfaces

As the rumours of NVIDIA’s Geforce RTX 4070 Ti continue to pile up, there’s actually been little or next to no news about the non-Ti version of the card. Up until now, that is.

The specifications of the alleged GPU were leaked by prominent hardware leakster, kopite7kimi (@kopite7kimi). According to Kopite, the card will be using a slightly watered-down version of the PG104 – similar to the one used by the RTX 4070 Ti – and from what is being listed, the same 12GB GDDR6X graphics memory, rather than the original 10GB that it was speculated to ship out with.

Additional details from Kopite’s tweet suggest that the RTX 4070 will feature 5888 CUDA cores, which is significantly lower than the previously rumoured 7168; a 192-bit memory bus that, again, is identical to its more powerful Ti sibling; a 36MB L2 Cache; and a TDP of 250W, which is 35W less than the Ti variant. Unfortunately, the tweet does not specify its base or boost clock, although those numbers could be closer to the RTX 3070, if we’re looking at trends and speculations.

And that’s all there is about the RTX 4070 by Kopite. Again, any and all news regarding the RTX 4070 has been dry, with the current focus of rumours being squarely on the imminent arrival of the Ti-based card. For another matter, there is also no specific timeline as to when the non-Ti card will launch, although if we were to look at NVIDIA’s habit and trend, it could make its debut within three months of each other, seeing how the RTX 3060 made its debut at around the same time frame from its Ti-powered sibling last year.

In a roundabout way about its performance, there is also AMD’s RDNA3-based Radeon 7000 series, or rather, what team Red would introduce as a contender to NVIDIA’s own RTX 4070 Ti and non-Ti variant. Technically speaking, the RX 7900 XTX and XT are meant to bump heads with the RTX 4080, but we’re going to have to wait for the reviews to see if that really is the case.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite Design And Specifications Leaks

New renders and details featuring the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite have recently surfaced online, thanks to leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks). This corroborates an earlier leak by fellow industry insider WalkingCat (@_h0x0d_) back in late February, which featured details and the expected release window of the tablet via an alleged product roadmap from the South Korean tech giant.

According to Blass’ leak, the Lite features a large 12.4-inch LCD display with dual front-facing cameras housed on its right bezel (top, if viewed in landscape orientation), therefore making it similar to last year’s Galaxy Tab S7 Plus model in terms of size and appearance. However, the new variant reportedly comes with a WQXGA LTPS TFT screen, rather than a Super AMOLED panel that’s featured on the Plus.

On the back of the Galaxy Tab S7 Lite appears to be an aluminium body with a dual camera setup situated on the top left corner. Just below the shooters is a magnetised port to hold and maybe charge the S-Pen accessory, which is presumably packaged together with the tablet once it launches. Meanwhile, on the top and bottom of the device are grilles for its AKG-tuned speakers, and a USB-C port is also visible below it.

Unfortunately, the leakster did not detail the other hardware specifications of the upcoming tablet. However, according to websites PhoneArena and SamMobile, the device will reportedly feature Android 11 via the brand’s One UI 3.1, a 5G-enabled Snapdragon 750G chipset, and 4GB of RAM. Using last year’s Galaxy Tab S6 Lite as reference, a WiFi-only version of the new tablet is also quite likely.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Lite is expected to launch alongside the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. Both of these are expected to debut later this year in June, according to the earlier leak by WalkingCat.

New Videos Of DJI FPV Racing Drone Leaks Online; Specifications Revealed

An unboxing video of the upcoming yet unannounced DJI drone, known simply as the FPV (an acronym for First Person View), has surfaced online. The video was originally shared by Dominion Drones, an authorised DJI store based in the US state of Virginia, but was pulled not long after due to unspecified (but obvious) reasons. An edited version of the video was later salvaged and uploaded on a different user’s channel, which can be viewed via this link.

This actually isn’t the first time the DJI FPV had been leaked, as images of a separate unboxing and hands-on with the drone was shared months prior by industry insider OsitaLV via Twitter. This new video basically corroborates with the former, confirming the upcoming quadcopter’s design, features and included accessories.

As seen from Dominion Drones’ video, contents of the package (believed to be the standard FPV combo) comprises the new quadcopter, a controller, goggles, charging brick, respective cables, and a power bank. The latter, as suggested by commenters, is meant to charge either or both the controller and goggles.

The drone itself features a small but unique looking design which includes a front main camera that only swivels vertically, as well as a set of front and downward-facing sensors. FPV drones are designed for racing instead of video recording, which explains the limited movement of its main camera. Covering the quadcopter’s upper chassis is a semi-translucent plastic shell, which can be replaced with a green solid coloured one that is included in the box. On its rear is a compartment that stores a removable rectangular battery.

Like recent iterations of DJI controllers, the one included with the FPV sports a gamepad-like design – complete with sculpted grips for each hand and trigger buttons in front. It also comes with detachable joysticks that can be stored in the inner side of each grip, and a flip-out wide antenna. Unlike the controllers included with most DJI aerial drones, this version does not include a mount for smartphones.

Meanwhile, the included goggles is an updated and lighter version of the company’s original that was originally introduced in 2019. It looks similar to its predecessor design-wise, complete with four detachable antennas that are located on each front corner of the goggles.

Specifications-wise, an alleged specs sheet of the drone provided by Twitter user Jasper Ellens suggests that the FPV quadcopter’s main camera comes with a 12MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor with an ISO range of 100-3200. Its lens features a FOV of 150-degrees, f/2.86 aperture, and focus range of 0.6 meters to infinity. Despite being a racing drone, the FPV also comes with video capture capabilities in MP4/MOV format, specifically 4K resolution at 3840×2160 px at up to 60 fps and FHD at 1920 x 1080 px at up to 120 fps.

The sheet noted that the new DJI FPV also comes with a 2,000 mAh LiPo 6S battery with 90W max charging power, and is capable of approximately 20 minutes of flight time. Both the quadcopter and its controller support 2.4GHz and 5.8Ghz frequency bands, with a maximum transmission distance of 10km. Other than that, it is listed that the drone comes weighs approximately 795g. Details of the goggles, believed to be listed on another page of the specs sheet, were not provided by the Twitter user. It’s also worth noting that Jasper Ellens also uploaded a video featuring the drone (shown below) on his YouTube channel, briefly showcasing its startup sound.

As mentioned earlier, DJI has yet to officially announce the new drone. According to various sources, the DJI FPV is rumoured to launch sometime in March this year. Hopefully we can finally see whether these leaks are proven accurate when the time comes.

Samsung Galaxy A72 Revealed In Its Full Glory; Design And Specifications Leaks

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy A72 and Galaxy A52 models – the successors to its best selling 2020 mid-range smartphones – sometime this year. Thanks to a recent leak by Dutch publication WinFuture, the design and specifications of the former has been revealed in its full glory.

At first glance, the new Galaxy A72 model looks almost similar to its predecessor, especially in front – save for a smaller punch-hole camera cutout. Flipping the phone over, meanwhile, exhibits a new “hump” look for its camera array which seamlessly blends with the rest of its rear case. This replaces the glass housing approach that was featured on last year’s model, giving the Galaxy A72 a cleaner look. The images provided by WinFuture suggests this upcoming Samsung smartphone will be offered in four colour options: black, white, light blue and lavender.

Specifications-wise, the website says the Galaxy A72 will sport a 6.7-inch SuperAMOLED display with 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution, a refresh rate of up to 90Hz, which also features an in-display fingerprint scanner. Under its hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G chipset, along with RAM and internal storage configurations of up to 8GB and 256GB respectively.

Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support via USB, although its wattage is not specified. For reference, last year’s model supported 25W fast charging – a standard seen across all Samsung smartphones, including the recently released Galaxy S21 series.

For photography, the rear camera hump houses a quad camera setup consisting of a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP telephoto with 2x magnification, 12MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro. Housed in the front display’s punch-hole cutout is a 32MP camera.

Other than that, WinFuture reports that the Galaxy A72 features a headphone jack, a microSD card slot and would run on the current, if not, the latest version of Samsung’s Android 11-based One UI 3 operating system. The site added the phone is also dust and water resistant, with a rating of IP67.

If this leak is to be believed, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A72 is nothing more than a slightly tweaked version of its predecessor. Besides featuring a new chipset, higher refresh rate for its display, a larger battery and other improvements, pretty much everything else on this model is similar to last year’s model. This may not entice existing A71 owners to upgrade, but it isn’t totally a deal breaker per say – as the phone is still a worthwhile consideration for those who wish to hop over from older or entry-level models.

According to WinFuture, the new smartphone’s expected selling price in Europe is at EUR499 (~RM2,444) – a slight price bump from its predecessor’s EUR470 (RM1,799 in Malaysia) launch price. In terms of availability, it is not known when Samsung is planning to officially unveil or launch the new Galaxy A72 and A52 devices.
