CDPR Created Cyberpunk 2077 Bug Montage Before Game’s Release

CD Projekt Red has been churning out fixes for Cyberpunk 2077, which launched in quite the state. Unsurprisingly, a game that launched with that many bugs will have enough for a montage video or two. And a few of those have made their way online.

VGC reports that the leaked videos were part of the files stolen from CDPR during the major hack it suffered earlier in the year. The videos show various bugs of Cyberpunk 2077, edited for comedic effect.

On its own, a bug montage is not necessarily a bad thing. CDPR probably intended to also include it with Cyberpunk 2077 as a sort of bonus material, the way it did for The Witcher 3. But considering the state it launched in, it’s probably understandable why the developer decided against it.

One of the producers of Cyberpunk 2077 also confirmed that the bug montage is legitimate on Twitter. The tweet has since been deleted, also for obvious reasons. To say that it would have been taken poorly would be an understatement. But to be fair, it was a reply to another tweet by Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, which was also deleted.

If you want to see the video montage for yourself, you can do so by heading to VGC’s report, linked below. But be warned that the second video opens with extremely NSFW bugs.

Alleged M1X MacBook Pro Confirmed In YouTube Tags; Reportedly Scrapped Before WWDC 2021

Prolific leakster Jon Prosser seems to have managed to unearth some information pertaining to an alleged “M1X” processor. First unearthed by Max Balzer, the YouTuber discovered that Apple’s own video of its keynote contained the tags “m1x MacBook Pro” and “m1x”.

While the tags went largely unnoticed, they clearly suggest that Apple had intended on announcing a new MacBook and M1 successor during the keynote, but decided to scrap it at the 11th hour. Having said that, the tags do corroborate rumours of an enhanced “X” variant of the M1 SoC instead of moving on to the M2.

As a quick primer, it was previously reported that Apple has redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros in its pipelines and that they would launch “as early as this summer.” The report suggested the return of the SD card slot, HDMI port, and the trip-friendly MagSafe charging connector. Rumoured improvements include twice as many high-performance CPU and GPU cores and support for up to 64GB of RAM.

Of course, it is also possible that Apple may have simply just added the tags as a means to boost its WWDC 2021 keynote, which is fair, albeit a little misleading.

Twitter Will Warn You Before You Tweet Anything Potentially Offensive

Among the big three social media platforms, Twitter is frequently seen as the meanest of the lot – filled with hate speech, trolling, profanity, political rage, and more. Twitter itself seems to taken notice and is now rolling out a feature that encourages people to pause before they send something potentially harmful or offensive.

The social media company said it had already been testing the feature last year. After incorporating user feedback and learnings from the tests, Twitter is now launching the feature across iOS and Android, beginning with accounts that have set their language to English.

The feature has apparently gone through quite a bit of improvement. In earlier forms, Twitter said it struggled to capture the nuance in many conversations and frequently couldn’t differentiate between potentially offensive language, sarcasm, and friendly banter. This meant quite a few unnecessary prompts.

So the company made a few adjustments. This includes ensuring that the system takes into account the relationship between the author and replier. So if two accounts follow each other and often reply to each other, there’s a good chance that the language used probably isn’t an issue.

From the tests, Twitter found that the prompts had some moderating effect on what is actually said. If prompted, one-third (34%) of users would revise their initial reply or decide not to send the reply at all. And after being prompted once, people wrote, on average, 11% fewer offensive replies in the future.

ASUS ZenFone 8 Series Leaks A Week Before Launch

ASUS is due to announce its ZenFone 8 series of phones next week, which involves a Mini variant. But it looks like the phones have been leaked ahead of time. And it gives us a look at what exactly the company plans to launch.

91mobiles has obtained renders and specs from serial leaker Ishan Agarwal on the two devices. The larger of the two will be called the ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip. And as the name suggests, this retains the ability to use the rear cameras as the front facing ones from the previous two generations. This time, the camera setup consists of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP telephoto and a 12MP macro lens.

As for specs, the ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 90Hz display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W charging.

Surprisingly, the smaller device is simply known as the base ASUS ZenFone 8. The screen is a little smaller at 5.92 inches, and there’s no mention of a refresh rate, but the resolution is indeed Full HD+. Inside, it has the same Snapdragon 888 chipset and 8GB of RAM, but less storage at 128GB. The battery is also slightly smaller at 4000mAh, but it still supports 30W charging.

It sports two of the three main cameras as the larger device, dropping the 8MP telephoto shooter. And in front, it has a punch hole cutout at the top left corner, but no specs on the camera that sits inside.

The smaller ASUS ZenFone 8 naturally has its spec sheet toned down a little compared to the Flip. But it looks like it’s not sacrifices too much to keep its size smaller. As for the missing details like price and availability, we’ll still have to wait until the official announcement next week.

Tony Fernandes Vows To Rehire Retrenched AirAsia Workers Before He Retires

AirAsia boss Tony Fernandes has set a goal of rehiring the roughly 2,000 employees the company retrenched last year before he retires. He said he’s confident it can be done once the airline industry returns to normal and through the aid of AirAsia’s other businesses.

“We had the tragedy of losing 2,000 staff through COVID-19. Before I retire, I must make sure that I hire everyone back,” he said at the RESET 2021 virtual conference, according to Bernama.

Last week, in a Facebook video, Fernandes pleaded for more time from customers requesting flight refunds even as he reminded them that AirAsia had to let go 10% of its staff.

During RESET 2021, he pointed to AirAsia’s pioneering culture – the first ASEAN airline to have female pilots, and the only airline of its size in the world to have a union. He declared that talent was the most important aspect of AirAsia.

“We may not have the right amount of cash but we certainly make up for it with [the right] talent, people, passion and the ability to believe that we can do anything,” Fernandes said.

Stuck with grounded planes and hit with steep losses, AirAsia has dedicated itself to many different ventures from food delivery (airasia food) to even a search for a virtual idol. And Fernandes recently confirmed that e-hailing would be another addition.
